I just finished my most recent piece. I call it Prayer. It's basically a pencil drawing of a girl who has just hoisted herself out of the water onto a dock. She's dripping wet and has her hands clasped in a position of prayer. That wasn't how I originally planned it but I realized her position made her look like she was praying, and it seemed like a good angle. After all, that's how I normally feel when I pray. That I've just come up for air and found a momentary reprieve from the things in my life that would probably drown me if it weren't for the place to hold on to. As you can see, I'm a fairly religious person; however, this is the first time that has manifested itself in my artwork. I doubt it would sell since it's just on a large piece of paper, but still, I like it. I'll probably just use it for my portfolio.
Alright it has been about two years I believe since my last post; however, I've been an avid journal writer lately, and this seems fairly similar. Also, I'm getting interested in art, and I'm almost to the point where I would like to start selling. I am now 17 years of age, but I've already managed to sell some things (commissions actually, wall murals and things like that). And I was whining to my sister about how I have no idea how to start selling my artwork. She told me to start a blog and get info from my readers about what they would buy, what they would like to see, etc. So here goes. I currently have no readers but hopefully this might attract some attention. So if you're looking for a spunky artist to paint your room or pretty much anything else, let me know!
